Purpose of the course: Develop the engineering culture of testing and monitoring in the industries and improving the level of technical knowledge of the operators

  • Training in Predictive maintenance by Vibration analysis including: The Requirements of a Successful System, Introducing Different Data collection Methods, Vibration Analysis for Prevention and Prediction of Maintenance and Overhaul of Machinery and Equipment, Routine Vibration Measurements 
  • Vibration theory and its concepts including signal and system, frequency, Peak, RMS, natural frequency, wave form, degree of freedom, convective system, mobility coefficient, signal types, harmonic, overall, logarithm
  • Vibration measurement equipment and devices, how to measure vibration, selecting displacement, velocity or acceleration, locations and directions of measurement, absolute and relative vibrations
  • Vibration analysis and troubleshooting of rotating equipment, introducing faults: unbalancing, non-alignment (shafts, couplings and bearings), axial bending, faulty bearings (sliding bearings and rollers),Mechanical looseness, Electrical faults and troubleshooting of electric motors by vibration analysis, hydraulic and aerodynamic pulses, and dynamic and aerodynamic troubleshooting in turbo machines (fan and pump and compressor), resonance, oil whirl, Rubbing.
  • Measurement techniques spectrum, cepstrum, envelop, CPB, ، orbit، Bode plot، Tracking،impact test (Bump test)، Run-up / Coast-down.
